I find terminal transparency to be a useless feature, but plenty of terminals support it if you have a compositor running, optionally you can force it using a compositor. Right now I'm using Gnome Terminal, and I can't even make it transparent. My suggestion would be to use a GUI tool if you want drag and drop functionality across machines. I don't understand what this is meant to be either. What does this even mean? TEs are not web browsers, download from where?
